Application Process
During the application process at School of the Holy Child, we aim to share pertinent information about the School with prospective families, and to get to know each applicant's academic history, interests, personality and family. While we strive to meet the educational needs of every student, there may be some services and accommodations which we are unable to meet. For further information, please feel free to contact our Director of Admission or one of our Learning Specialists. Our ultimate goal is to determine whether the "fit" between School of the Holy Child and the student is mutual, thus paving the way for successful and happy years at Holy Child.

ISEE, SSAT, or TACHS Testing
Schedule the
ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination),
SSAT (Secondary School Admissions Test) or
TACHS (Test for Admissions into Catholic High Schools), as soon as possible. TACHS applicants must list School of the Holy Child as one of their choices in order to be considered. Students may take the ISEE or SSAT at any testing location, but scores must be reported to School of the Holy Child. (Please note that the TACHS is only for students applying to grade 9.) Applicants to grade 9 should complete testing by December. Applicants to grades 5-8 should complete testing by February.
The Admission Decision Process
The Admission Committee is comprised of several administrators and faculty members. The Committee reads each completed application in its entirety. After thorough discussion, the Committee then reaches one of the following three decisions: Accept, Deny or Wait List. The Wait List is a grouping of students who may be qualified for admission, but to whom we cannot offer a place at the time. Students can elect to remain on the Wait List or withdraw from consideration and enroll elsewhere. The Wait List is not ranked in order of strength or preference. If a space becomes available, all Wait List candidates applying to the appropriate grade are considered.
