Financial Aid

Holy Child maintains a sound financial aid program in keeping with our commitment to enroll academically qualified students, regardless of their financial circumstances. For some families, the full tuition stretches resources beyond the family budget. Through Holy Child's financial aid program, we strive to make a Holy Child education possible for these families.

Financial aid grants are need-based and are renewed annually. We carefully consider each financial aid application and make grants available to families with demonstrated need. Because we often admit more students that require aid than we can fund, admitted students do not always receive aid even if they qualify. Applicants admitted to the school may be placed on a Financial Aid Waitlist. Income, assets, liabilities, and the number of children attending tuition schools are some factors considered in determining need and eligibility for aid. Approximately 30% of Holy Child's student body, grades 5 through 12, receives financial assistance totaling over $2M. For 2023-2024, the average grant is $16,000, with individual grants ranging from 5% to 84% of tuition.

Holy Child offers two named need-based scholarships:

  • The Sister Anna Daly, SHJC ’43 Award, established in 2012, is an endowed fund awarded to a legacy student with a sincere dedication to scholarship and a commitment to community service. All qualified applicants will be considered.

  • The Michele Ann Bonk ’96 Award is a scholarship awarded to a rising Grade 9 student who demonstrates a tremendous commitment to her faith, fellow students, and school community. The recipient of this scholarship should have a passion for singing, be confident in public speaking, or show a dedication to athletics. All qualified candidates will be considered.

 New Holy Child Applicants

The admission and financial aid processes at Holy Child are independent of one another. The Financial Aid Committee reviews financial aid applications of accepted students after admission decisions have been made. Parents who have provided all of the required information will be notified of the grant amount before they have to reply to the offer of admission, as the award amounts are included in the admission decision notifications. To make our decision, we use the parents' financial aid application information as a starting point and consider our school policy, practices, and available budget.

Holy Child partners with the Clarity Application as its financial aid application system. Recommendations made by Clarity are used to inform an equitable financial aid decision-making process.

To get started, please go to Clarity and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Clarity is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit. Clarity will automatically grant fee waivers for those who qualify based on need. If you do not receive a waiver but feel you qualify, please contact the Admission Office at admission@holychildrye.org.

Comprehensive guides to the Clarity financial aid application are available in both English and Spanish. In-app support is available through the “Help” button in the lower-left corner of the application. Consider attending a Family Application Webinar held by Clarity on Wednesday, October 18 for additional information about Clarity Application. For additional assistance in both English and Spanish email support@claritytuition.com or call (206) 210-3752.

Families with other children at a tuition-charging school must submit a financial statement or bill from the other institution by July 1, 2024. All parents (biological, step, or adoptive) must complete the required paperwork. In divorced parents' cases, custodial and non-custodial parents are required to complete separate applications online. Other supplemental forms are sometimes required depending on family circumstances. All information provided is kept strictly confidential.
