Holy Child seeks an experienced English teacher to teach 9th and 10th Grade Upper School English. Ideal candidates are dedicated educators who value interdisciplinary teaching and creative learning experiences; will possess strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills; ideally, have a minimum of 3 years classroom teaching experience; and are highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in students’ lives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach 5 sections of Upper School English (Grades 9 and 10), with a passion for 9th grade in particular
Provide academic support for students outside of class time, as needed
Serve as an Upper School Advisor to a group of 8-12 students
Engage with new technologies and methodologies for teaching and assessing
Show a commitment to community and belonging work
Communicate professionally and compassionately with every member of the community: students, families, and colleagues alike
Communicate regularly and effectively with Division Heads and advisors about student progress
Work with the Learning Center to support students with learning differences
Attend and participate in parent conferences and school events
Participate in grade-level and school-wide meetings, as needed
Cover study halls, lunch duties, and other assignments, as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree, or higher, in education or English preferred

Courses include Pre-calculus and an Upper School math elective, as well as supporting Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II/Trigonometry students in our Math Center. Comfort teaching additional high school courses is preferred. Holy Child seeks an experienced religious studies teacher. This multi-grade position may include middle school courses in Scripture and Church History as well as upper school courses in diverse subjects (e.g. Social Justice, World Religions, and Ethics). Ideal candidates are able to teach one or more of the aforementioned courses and are passionate educators who value interdisciplinary teaching and creative learning experiences. A Holy Child teacher will have the resources of a supportive department and an established curriculum; however, he or she will have the opportunity to tailor or redesign a course to meet his/her interests and passions and the needs of the students.

Holy Child seeks an experienced, passionate STEM educator with a strong math emphasis for grades 5 and 6. This multi-grade position will include middle school math and science classes and the possibility of technology electives. Experience in teaching Pre-Algebra and/or Algebra 1 is a strength.
