  • Summary of the Position

    The School of the Holy Child seeks a dynamic, strategic, and mission-driven Associate Director of Advancement (ADA). Reporting to the Head of Advancement (HOA), the Associate Director plays a key role in advancing the mission of the School by leading the strategy, management, and execution of the Annual Fund for Holy Child while supporting the broader fundraising initiatives and engagement efforts of the Advancement Office. This is a full-time, 12-month position that, at times, includes evening and weekend work in support of Advancement and School events and community life.

    Through thoughtful collaboration, creative and data-informed strategies, and effective volunteer management, the Associate Director will engage, retain, and grow annual donors across all constituencies while building a strong pipeline of donor prospects. Working closely with the Advancement team, this position helps strengthen a culture of philanthropy and deepen relationships with parents, alumnae, parents of alumnae, and friends of Holy Child.

    The Associate Director will manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, provide thoughtful stewardship and contribute to planned giving and campaign efforts. This role also supports the operational effectiveness of the Advancement Office by overseeing the accurate maintenance of donor records and engagement activity within the database, assisting with reporting and analysis, and tracking donor pipelines to inform strategy and decision-making. The Associate Director contributes to the success of advancement operations and collaborates across the Team to support the philanthropic priorities of the School of the Holy Child.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Annual Fund Strategy and Leadership

    • Partner with the Head of Advancement to set strategic direction, goals, and messaging for the Annual Fund for Holy Child.

    • Lead the comprehensive planning, execution, and growth of the Annual Fund, with a focus on participation, leadership giving, and long-term sustainability.

    • Design and implement targeted, data-driven strategies across key constituencies.

    • Monitor performance metrics, analyze results, and adjust strategies to maximize impact.

    Donor Engagement and Fundraising

    • Manage a portfolio of donors and high-potential prospects.

    • Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.

    • Partner with the Head of Advancement on key donor relationships and solicitations.

    • Contribute to major gift strategy, including prospect identification, research, and pipeline development.

    Volunteer Leadership

    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Annual Giving volunteer program.

    • Recruit, train, and support a network of engaged volunteers, including class representatives and leadership volunteers.

    • Equip volunteers with clear messaging and effective tools to advance fundraising goals.

    Engagement and Advancement Events

    • Collaborate on the strategy and execution of high-impact advancement events, including the Benefit, Library Luncheon, Gryphon Classic, and alumnae programming.

    • Leverage events as opportunities for cultivation, stewardship, and donor engagement.

    • Partner with volunteers and colleagues to create meaningful and mission-driven experiences.

    Communications and Stewardship

    • Oversee comprehensive donor stewardship efforts, ensuring timely, personalized, and meaningful recognition of philanthropic support.

    • Collaborate and contribute to the development of compelling advancement communications, including acknowledgements, appeals, and the production of the annual impact report.

    • Partner with the Head of Advancement and Director of Communications to ensure consistency and strength in messaging.

    Data Strategy and Operations

    • Oversee and support efficient and effective advancement operations.

    • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and strategic use of donor data and engagement tracking.

    • Leverage reporting and analytics to inform strategy, measure success, and guide decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    • Five years of relevant experience in advancement, fundraising, marketing, or a related field; ideally in an independent school or nonprofit setting.

    • Belief in and commitment to the mission and values of the School of the Holy Child.

    • Demonstrated experience and confidence in soliciting philanthropic support, with a strong ability to build and steward meaningful, mission-driven relationships.

    • Advanced proficiency with advancement technologies, including CRM systems (e.g., Veracross, Raiser’s Edge), prospect research tools (e.g., DonorSearch, Kindsight), and event management platforms (e.g., GiveSmart, OneCause), along with strong technical proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365.

    • Proficiency in print and digital communications, including email marketing, social media, video, and other engagement tools.

    • Active participation in Advancement Office initiatives and school-wide events, demonstrating flexibility, collegiality, and commitment to the broader Holy Child community.

    • Flexibility and willingness to support evening and weekend events, as well as occasional travel.

    This position is a full-time, 12-month position with a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience.

  • Holy Child seeks an experienced science teacher to serve as a year-long leave replacement, teaching Anatomy and Physiology and possibly one section of Chemistry. Ideal candidates are dedicated educators who value interdisciplinary teaching and creative learning experiences; will possess strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills; ideally have a minimum of 3 years classroom teaching experience, and are highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in students’ lives.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Teach 2-3 sections of Anatomy and possibly 1 section of Chemistry

    • Provide academic support for students outside of class time, as needed

    • Engage with new technologies and methodologies for teaching and assessing

    • Design and facilitate laboratory investigations and hands-on learning activities

    • Show a commitment to community and belonging work

    • Communicate professionally and compassionately with every member of the community: students, families, and colleagues alike

    • Communicate regularly and effectively with Division Heads and advisors about student progress

    • Work with the Learning Center to support students with learning differences

    • Attend and participate in parent conferences and school events

    • Participate in grade-level and school-wide meetings, as needed

    • Cover study halls, lunch duties, and other assignments, as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree, or higher, in education or a related science field preferred

    • Ideally, 3 years of experience teaching a similar age group and similar content

    • Passionate and knowledgeable about progressive education, problem-based teaching and learning, and differentiation

    • Strong planning and organizational skills

    • A good sense of humor and collegial spirit

    Salary Range: Based on $65,000-$85,000 full-time salary

    Coupled with these credentials, the candidate will have a deep understanding of differentiated instruction, a flexible and team-oriented approach, exceptional organizational and written communication skills with attention to detail, and superior interpersonal skills. In addition, candidates with experience in an all-girls, faith-based school and those who will embrace our School's mission of "developing women of conscience and action" are preferable.
