College Counseling

At Holy Child, girls are encouraged to push themselves beyond their comfort zone, take risks, and discover their full potential. With dedicated teachers who provide individualized support and mentorship, students receive the guidance and encouragement they need to leave our campus prepared for college and beyond.

At Holy Child, the college process begins long before applications are submitted. From their freshman year, students are encouraged to immerse themselves in our school community by participating in activities that spark their interests, engaging in meaningful service, and building confidence in communicating with adults in groups and one-on-one. This foundation of personal growth continues into sophomore year, as students take on leadership roles and an academic program that challenges them to strive for excellence and explore new areas of study.

The formal college process officially begins in junior year, when students meet individually with the college counseling office and add a college counseling course to their schedules. Students take ownership of their journey by working collaboratively with their dedicated college counselor during this time. Together with their families, they develop a balanced list of prospective colleges that align with their goals, leadership potential, and aspirations as they move into senior year.

Holy Child’s college counseling team is committed to fostering each student’s growth as a confident leader and independent thinker. Through extensive collaboration with each student and her family, the counselors ensure that every girl applies to colleges that align with her goals, strengths, and aspirations. Our goal is for each graduate to select a college that supports her academic interests and empowers her to develop as a leader in the classroom, on campus, and beyond.
