“We created new friendships, got to know one another more, and got to bond with some of the locals/volunteers we worked on our service projects with. I am so happy I met these girls on the trip, and I hope that after this trip we can stay in touch and continue to be friends. “

We decided that although there are different forms of leadership, they all stem from helping people / asking for help, making others feel comfortable, making good decisions, organization skills, organizing / managing a team, patience, and making sure everyone feels seen and heard.”

“During our service, we also learned valuable lessons about self worth. We learned about having confidence, taking actions, and not being afraid to try new things. We also spoke to other volunteers on site with us and got to know them, and their backgrounds. Overall, our service experience today helped broaden our horizons and taught us valuable lessons and skills to take with us.”

“Our visit to New Orleans started with a bus ride that showed us all of the brightly colored houses (we weren’t expecting that) and then went to Jackson Square, where we took some (a lot) of pictures and window-shopped.”
