College Counseling

Personalized Guidance. Purposeful Planning. Confident Outcomes.
College Counseling

At Holy Child, college counseling is not a process that begins senior year. It is a four-year journey rooted in self-discovery, academic growth, and thoughtful mentorship.

From the moment students enter the Upper School, they are encouraged to challenge themselves, take intellectual risks, and explore the interests that will shape their future. With personalized support from dedicated faculty, advisors, and college counselors, every student is guided toward the college path that best reflects her strengths, goals, and aspirations.

Our approach is deeply individualized because every Holy Child student’s journey is unique.

Personalized College Counseling

Our college counseling team works closely with each student and her family to create a thoughtful and balanced college search process.

Through one-on-one meetings, family partnership, and individualized planning, counselors help students:

  • Identify colleges that align with their academic and personal goals
  • Build a balanced and strategic college list
  • Navigate standardized testing and application timelines
  • Prepare for interviews and campus visits
  • Develop strong personal essays and applications
  • Understand financial aid and scholarship opportunities

Our counselors know each student well and guide her toward colleges where she will thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Beginning in Junior Year

The formal college counseling process officially begins in Grade 11.

Students meet individually with their college counselor and participate in a dedicated college counseling course built into the school day. Through regular meetings and structured guidance, students begin taking ownership of the process.

Senior Year Support

Students continue to work closely with their college counselor as they finalize their college lists, strengthen applications, complete essays, and meet deadlines.

Our team provides ongoing support through every stage of the process, from application submission to final decision-making.

Families are supported throughout the journey with dedicated programming, including:

  • Senior parent college night
  • Financial aid workshops
  • Individual family meetings
  • Final college decision counseling

The goal is not simply admission, but finding the right fit.

The Holy Child Difference

What makes college counseling at Holy Child distinctive is the depth of relationship and personalized attention each student receives.

Our counselors work in partnership with students and families to ensure every graduate is empowered to make informed, confident choices about her future.

By graduation, Holy Child students are prepared not only for college admission, but for success in college and beyond as thoughtful, independent, and purpose-driven young women.
